Show, don't promise.

FIPS is a platform for planning festivals as a group — built on its own versioned data foundation. This page tells you what the problem is, what already exists and where it's headed. No numbers show, no forecasts. If you want to know more afterwards, we'll talk directly.

The problem

The plan drowns in the group chat

Nobody plans a festival weekend alone these days — but the tools pretend you do. The timetable lives as a screenshot in the chat, the kitty in a spreadsheet, the agreements in thirty group chats. And on site, someone still ends up standing alone at the Ferris wheel.

Astrid: who's got the timetable screenshot?

Michael: somewhere further up

Claudia: so are we doing Kraftklub or Provinz??

Jonas: guys WHERE are you

The solution

The crew is the default

In FIPS the basic unit isn't the individual profile — it's the crew. One person starts, invites via link or code — and from then on the group plans in one shared place instead of side by side.

  • One shared timetable. Everyone marks for themselves, FIPS layers the plans — making visible when everyone's partying together and where the group splits up.
  • The planning moves in too. Campsite events, group kitty, todos, votes — everything hangs off the plan instead of next to it.
  • Offline on site. Mobile first as a PWA, the plan works without a network too — where festivals actually happen.
The substance

A data foundation, not a brochure

Underneath the product sits its own registry: versioned, source-backed, append-only. Every entry carries source and version, anything auto-generated goes through review before it becomes official.

  • 1.800+ Festivals recorded across all of Europe
  • 2.800+ Editions years with dates and history
  • Almost 40.000 Acts linked across festivals
  • Versioned & source-backed
  • 10 languages
  • PWA — iOS/Android shells in the works
  • Public festival, edition and artist pages

This foundation is the real moat: it grows with every year's edition instead of being retyped every year — and it's ours.

Status & road

Where we stand, where it's headed

Where we stand

FIPS is open — any crew can start. It grew with the first crews at real festivals: whatever doesn't hold up there gets thrown out before it goes wide.

  • App open to everyone
  • Festival, edition and artist pages public in the app
  • PWA today, native shells in the works

Where it's headed

Europe first: more festivals, more depth per act, more languages. After that, going beyond festivals is conceivable — the same mechanics carry other shared experiences too.

  • Europe as the first horizon
  • Decisions follow what crews actually use
  • Growth from the product, not from announcements

What you won't find here

Revenue forecasts, hockey sticks, user numbers. FIPS is under construction — and we'd rather talk honestly about where we are than glossily about the future.

What you get instead

A direct look into the product and the data foundation, the road behind it — and a conversation without detours with the people building it.
