Terms of use

Version terms-v2 dated 13 September 2026. Your contracting party is Giraffe GmbH (contact details in the legal notice). The German version is authoritative; the other language versions are translations. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

What FIPS is

FIPS is a free planner for festivals and events. You mark performances, spot clashes, coordinate with your crew and take your plan offline. FIPS is neither an organiser nor a ticket seller and is not affiliated with the festivals shown. Some graphics and texts in FIPS were created or edited using AI. Giraffe GmbH remains responsible for the content we publish.

Account and age

You may use an account from age 16. If you have not reached the age of majority, you need your legal representative’s consent. We do not require identification documents or your date of birth. Keep your login details secret and do not share your account.

Your content

You retain your rights to your own content. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence only as needed to store, technically process and display it: crew content within the crew, campsite events and their photos for signed-in users within the access-restricted festival area. Our service providers process it only to operate the service. The licence ends when the content is deleted; jointly used contributions remaining after account deletion may be used only where a legal basis permits this. We do not sell your content; using it for advertising requires your separate consent. Only upload content you are entitled to share in this way. The community rules at /community-regeln apply. People review reported violations; depending on their severity, we may remove content or suspend accounts. We consider each case and everyone’s rights. We do not use automated content classification. Reasons and enquiries are handled through support.

Availability

Maintenance and outages may interrupt use; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We provide necessary security updates. Changes serve security, legal requirements or the development of festival planning. We inform you in advance about significant changes. Additional charges or changes to these terms require your consent. Statutory rights to updates, information and termination remain unaffected.

Termination

The contract has no fixed end date. You may terminate it at any time without notice, including by email. Standard account deletion has a 14-day reconsideration period. Statutory rights to deletion without undue delay remain unaffected; contact [email protected] for this. We may also terminate the contract or discontinue the service, giving reasonable advance notice and an opportunity to export. Termination for good cause may take immediate effect. You can export your plan as a PDF or calendar file; other content you are legally entitled to receive is available on request.

Liability

We accept unlimited liability for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health, including acts of our legal representatives and agents performing our obligations. For ordinary negligence, we are liable for breaches of essential contractual duties that enable use of the service and on which you may normally rely, limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Other liability for ordinary negligence is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, including under the German Product Liability Act, remains unaffected.

Festival and line-up data

Times, stages and line-ups may change at short notice. We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy or currency of organiser data. Check important information with the organiser; their current on-site notices take precedence. Your statutory rights concerning defects and the liability provisions above remain unaffected.
