Woodstockenweiler is one day, not a weekend: a volunteer-run association sets it up on a meadow between Wangen and Lindau, and the music runs from midday until past one in the morning. The association picks the fourteen bands from well over a thousand applications, from punk and ska to blues and rap. People don’t come for a name on the poster, they come for the day.
Around 3,500 people join in, roughly one in six is a child, and guests have described the mood the same way for years: peaceful, relaxed, like a holiday with music. The association has a sense of humour too: the token booth is called WoodFLOCKENweiler, the loos WoodHOCKENweiler.

Check first
- Tickets are often gone weeks in advance, and there’s no camping on site: if you want to stay, book the partner campsite Gitzenweiler Hof near Lindau. Pack a parasol and sunscreen: shade is scarce, it was scorching hot every year from 2024 to 2026, and you can’t bring your own food or drink.

- For crews from the area between Lake Constance and the Allgäu who want a long summer day on a blanket, ideally with kids or parents. You’re well looked after in a wheelchair too: there’s a dedicated platform with an accessible toilet, and companions get in free.
