Vestrock is Hulst’s home fixture, grown into a festival for the whole border region. Kids, parents, metalheads and gabbers stand in the same field, along with lots of Belgians, and it feels like half of Hulst is there. The line-up puts British and Belgian guitar bands next to Dutch pop stars, and time and again someone unexpected gets the whole field singing: Frans Bauer with a conga line in 2019, an organist of nearly eighty in 2026.
The guitar heart beats in the Kapel, a wooden hut by the entrance that’s usually packed to the rafters – and people mosh in there despite the crush. Main stage, tents and Kapel are a few hundred metres apart, and the campsite in the town park is two minutes away.

Check first
- Only regular tents are allowed on the campsite – no campervans, generators or sound systems – and everyone needs a separate camping ticket on top of their festival ticket.
- There’s hardly any shade on the site: on hot days, put on sunscreen and keep drinking – the Kapel gets stuffy then.
Right for you
- You like it small and cosy, maybe bring your siblings or parents along, and you’d rather sing a schlager hit with the whole field than stand in reverent silence in front of a quiet band.
