V and B Fest is Mayenne’s summer party, a young festival that’s already huge: almost half the crowd comes from the département itself. The line-up mixes without a second thought, from Lorie to Airbourne: at the main stage the field sings along to French pop and rap, circle pits spin in front of the Craft stage, and the Terminal stage runs from techno to hardcore. Families, grandparents and battle vests stand side by side – not one scene, but a huge, well-oiled mix.

By day the site belongs to the Village, free and open even without a ticket: mölkky, wooden games, a small stage for comedy and talks, dozens of stalls. Concerts run from the afternoon until three in the morning, and at the camp DJs are already playing in the morning. Despite the numbers it rarely feels packed, and the crowd has a reputation for being laid-back.

  • Every exit from the concert area is final, even to fetch a jumper from the car: pack everything you need for the evening.
  • Camping is booked on top of your pass; in 2026 the Friday and Saturday camping nights sold out. If you come by car, bring patience: after big nights, people were stuck for hours trying to get out of the car park.
