A town of around 3,700 people turns into a dance floor: salsa on the main street, outside the bars and in the sand at the Conga.
- Dance classes for all levels
- Palm trees made of plastic bottles
- Arena free for under-12s
Tempo Latino isn’t a dance congress but a small town dancing salsa for four days. Bars and restaurants run at least twelve dance floors, most of them free. Dancing starts in the early afternoon, and DJs play at the Conga until four in the morning. Nobody asks how well you dance, and you’ll find people to hang out with fast.
In the evening two bands play in the open-air bullring from 1931, and for that you need a ticket. Out on the streets, families, groups from Spain and regulars who have been coming back for ten or twenty years all mix.

Check first
- Rooms in town are scarce and go early; most people camp. You can only get onto the Goulin and Acacias campsites with a ticket and without a car; with a camper van, head to Cauderon campsite.
- The sun is fierce at the end of July: once it’s up, sleeping in a tent is near impossible, and gas stoves are banned because of the fire risk.
- Vic-Fezensac has no train station; bus line 934 runs from Auch. Festival shuttles from Toulouse and Agen go out on Thursday or Friday and don’t return until Monday.
Right for you
- For crews who want to dance, with or without salsa experience, and would rather roam the streets than stand in front of a stage. If you’d rather sit still, you’re in the wrong place.
