Sweden Rock is a class reunion for hard rock and metal: four June days by the sea near Norje, five stages, more than 90 bands from Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper to Slipknot. Concerts start on the minute, the toilets stay clean, and it isn't far from one stage to the next.
In front of the stage it's surprisingly polite: people keep the gaps clear, apologise for bumping into you and let the little ones to the front, and hardly anyone sees a fight. It still gets wild, in the pit or when The Night Flight Orchestra leads a conga line through the crowd. The price of success: it has got busier, food and beer are expensive, and some long-time regulars now find it too crowded.

- Sweden Rock itself only runs Norra Camping and the glamping, a good kilometre and a half from the site. The other campsites around it have their own prices, rules and nights: at Ingemans people sleep, at Rosenlunds death metal plays until four in the morning.
- On site you pay by card only, and on dry days dust hangs in the air.
