Stendhal is a farm festival near Limavady, built by local volunteers: a field at the top, Karma Valley down the slope, woodland in between. Poetry, comedy, circus and workshops run across more than eight stages, and there are kids everywhere, from prams to teenagers.
The line-up puts bands from the region alongside names from the seventies to the nineties; in the woods there are twenty-minute sets, and that is often where it gets crowded. Rain comes with it: almost every year it gets muddy, and in 2019 cars only got off the field with a tractor.

Check first
- The general campsite is 18+ only; families camp separately. There are no showers or power for charging there; pack a power bank, wellies and warm clothes for cold nights.
- Set times come out late, in 2025 not until the day before opening, and it all ends at 1 am: in 2026 the sound was cut in the middle of the last set. Bring cash, there is no cash machine.

- For crews who want a small weekend where you keep bumping into each other, happily with kids or parents along. If you are going for a big name, check the line-up first: in some years regulars found it thin.
