Three days of punk and Oi!, and on Saturday a good chunk of the festival marches with banners to the Blau-Weiß Loburg football match.

Spirit started out as a birthday party in Loburg, then moved on via Barby, Magdeburg and an old military airfield in Brandenburg until it came back in 2020: to the meadows by the old open-air pool, where nobody has swum for years. Today around 5,000 people meet here, Oi!-heavy and on the older side, under the motto “Love Music – Hate Fascism”; guests still argue about how clearly the line to the right is drawn.
From Thursday to Saturday around 40 bands play on two stages, in 2027 including Dritte Wahl, Sondaschule and Die Kassierer, and the beer garden stays open into the early morning. The site is compact, distances are short, and most people find the prices fair.

- Tickets recently sold out months in advance, dogs and glass stay outside, and shade is scarce in the heat. You can keep your own food at the camp, and it’s worth it: in the evening the stalls are often overrun or already empty.

- You want punk, Oi! and ska without the big-festival circus, among people who’d rather enjoy a good beer than show off. If you’re after a young party crowd, this isn’t it.
