Free wakeboarding at midday, an inflatable flamingo in the afternoon, big DJ names with a view of the Black Forest in the evening – and by midnight at the latest it’s over.

Sea You is the big summer rave at the Tunisee, a flooded gravel pit in the north of Freiburg: three days, six stages, up to 26,000 people a day. The line-up mixes techno from Amelie Lens and Adam Beyer with psytrance from Neelix and hits from Alle Farben. On top of that there’s a Ferris wheel, a large Food Village and fireworks to close on Sunday.
Opinions are split: almost everyone praises the setting and the programme, many have been coming back for years, others find it more commercial every year. From the afternoon the site gets crowded, in the evening you sometimes can’t get into the two stuffy tent stages any more, and the bass from neighbouring stages bleeds together. And many guests are there more to see and be seen than to dance non-stop.

Check first
- You can only pay with the chip on your wristband, with fees plus a cup deposit on every drink. You have to claim back leftover credit with your chip number through your own event portal account; after the deadline for automatic processing, refunds are only handled manually and take longer.
- At Camping A everyone gets a tight, assigned spot, gazebos are only allowed if small and inside your tent group, and you can’t visit friends on other campsites: arrive together as a crew.
Right for you
- You want a summer day between a swimming lake and big techno and psytrance names, and you like partying in a crowd. If you want to rave until morning, this isn’t your place: on Friday and Saturday the music ends at midnight, on Sunday at 10:30 pm.
