When the stage lights go out in the woods, the crowd heads over to the youth centre: karaoke with metal classics on Friday, a party on Saturday.

Since 1985, teenagers and young adults from Leonberg and the surrounding area have been putting on this festival as volunteers, on the old forest sports ground at the edge of a nature reserve; in 2026 it celebrated its 40th anniversary. It is paid for by grants, donations and whatever you spend on drinks and merch. Just under 30 bands play two stages over three days, Friday leaning towards metal and rock, Saturday towards alternative and punk.
With two to three thousand people it stays small and peaceful; many come back every year, and for some it is the highlight of their year. 2024 shows what it's like here: exactly two people lined up for the wall of death, dinosaurs ran along in the crowd instead, and at the pizza stand an old video game made the wait shorter.

- Tent pitches need no registration, but only while space lasts, and in 2026 the campsite had to be cleared during a storm on Friday evening. You pay in cash, and your own drinks as well as Böhse Onkelz or Frei.Wild shirts stay outside.

- For crews who want three days of guitars, for whom two stages on a meadow are enough, and who like it when people their own age run the show. No car needed: S-Bahn to Leonberg, bus to Warmbronn, and at night the N63 gets you home.
