Rock im Park is Rock am Ring's twin, just right in Nuremberg: largely the same big rock and metal bands, with the main stage in front of the stone grandstand of the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds. You camp in the city park around Dutzendteich lake, with frogs croaking through the night.
The price is the crowd: around 80,000 people a day share three stages, every stage change takes time, and up front it gets frighteningly tight for the biggest names. After the rainy, overcrowded 2025, a lot went better in 2026. Regulars still swear every year it'll be their last – and come back anyway.

Check first
- Arrive early on Thursday and as a whole crew: the camps usually open hours before the announced time, and if you come later you'll pitch at the edge with a long walk. General and Green Camping can't be swapped.
- If you want to move to the next stage after a headliner, leave a few songs early – otherwise entry there gets stopped.
Right for you
- You want to see as many big rock and metal bands as possible in one weekend and will put up with the crowds for it. If you'd rather not camp, stay at a hotel in Nuremberg and take the train out at midday.
