Pinkpop has been running since 1970, at Megaland since 1988, and is still the big family day of the Dutch festival summer. Teenagers stand at the front for their pop stars, often with a rocking dad, parents lie in the grass, and for people from Landgraaf it is more than a festival. Walks are short, and big names like Foo Fighters and The Cure carry the line-up.
The flip side: many come on a day ticket for their one band, and there is so much talking in the crowd that guests call it the Dutch disease. The site closes at midnight; things carry on in the festival tent in the camping area.

Check first
- Tent camping on B and C is included in the weekend ticket; since 2026, Camping A is only for booked group pitches. The festival tent plays until 3:30 am; in 2023 it could be heard as far as Camping C.
- Expect heat: shade fills up fast, and there are queues at the water points. Bring an empty half-litre bottle and a wet cloth for your neck.
Right for you
- For crews who come for big names, like lying in the grass and sometimes bring the family along. If you want a crowd that carries every band, or nights on the site until morning, you're better off elsewhere.
