O Son do Camiño started in 2018 and returned in 2022 after a pandemic break: big names on Monte do Gozo, a hill about five kilometres outside Santiago. In 2026 that meant Linkin Park, Katy Perry, Dani Martín and Biffy Clyro across three stages. With around 42,000 people a day, the festival was sold out, according to the organiser.
The crowd ranges from families with small children to people over fifty, and more than two fifths come from outside Galicia. Many stand at the front from the support acts onwards, just to be close for the big name that follows; if you want more scene than crowd, head to the Zona Repsol. The hill itself means lots of walking, dusty shoes and little shade.

- Plan your way back down the hill: people have waited almost three hours for the bus, and in 2018 thousands walked into the centre after the closing concert. If you’re camping, you’ll haul your gear uphill, so a trolley helps; bring a jacket and rain gear, because nights get cool and there’s hardly any cover.
Right for you
- You want to see as many big names as possible in three days, you like partying with people of all ages, and you’ll put up with shuttles and walking for it. If you want to discover new bands, you’re better off elsewhere.
