Nextones brings electronic music and audiovisual art to a disused gneiss quarry near Oira, converted into a theatre with two stages in the rock. It still doesn't get big: the theatre holds 2,000 standing, and many come specifically for the night, whose last set doesn't end until four in the morning.
By day the festival heads out into the valley: on foot through the forest and over river bridges to sound concerts in the mountain village of Ghesc, into the cold, damp Uriezzo gorge and to the thermal baths in Premia, where one performance could only be heard with your ears underwater. Along these paths, strangers become a small community for a few days.

Check first
- The camp below the theatre has strict rules: no alcohol brought from home, no stove, and every person needs their own camping pass plus online check-in with an ID photo. Camping is only included in the four-day and three-day passes.
- Without a car, the way in is via Domodossola station: the festival shuttle from there has only 17 seats, otherwise there are just a few regular buses a day.
