On the slope in front of the stage sit people who have been coming since 1979, while down below kids roam the meadow on their own.

Lott has been run by a local association since 1977, by volunteers and not for profit – in 2027 it turns fifty. The main stage sits in front of a steep slope where you can see everything even sitting down, and some of you even from your tent. Then there is the forest stage, with discussions by day and parties at night, and a circus tent. Since 2026 the cap has been 5,000 guests: big enough to feel like a festival, small enough to keep your bearings.
Families, first-timers and Lott veterans mix on the meadow, and the atmosphere has stayed peaceful and relaxed for years. Lott also takes a clear stand against the far right, with an awareness team and anti-Nazi banners; many like that, some find it too political.

- Bring cash: payment is cash only, you can withdraw money at the info stand, and there's hardly any phone signal. If you want to sleep, pack earplugs, because the forest stage and neighbours' speakers keep going late into the night; when it rains, the meadow quickly turns to mud.
