What began as a party among friends in Landeleau has become one of France's biggest festivals: around 55,000 people a day on the fields of Kerampuilh near Carhaix. On the Glenmor stage stand French chart stars and global names from Orelsan to Nick Cave; in front of it, grandparents sing along with their grandchildren and teenagers hold the front row.

The second festival happens on the campsite: twelve numbered camps, free of charge, with apéros across the rows of tents and neighbours who pitch up next to you again the following year. The showers there are cold, so some people head to the indoor pool in the morning. The price of size: crowds in front of the main stages, stalls sold out on Sunday and long walks from the car park.

• Book the campsite in June for every day you have a ticket for; with a day ticket, every exit is final, and in 2026 all four days sold out. Cars stay far outside, valuables don't belong in the tent; Carhaix station is a ten-minute walk from the site.
