Line-up
First the ferry, then the camping chair: here a festival feels like a summer holiday.
- Free Kidzone
- Sock wrestling
- Free water refills
Isle of Wight is the festival where kids, parents and grey-haired rock fans sing the same choruses. The main stage belongs to names from your parents’ radio, from Pet Shop Boys to The Cure; for Robbie Williams the whole festival sang along, for Pulp it danced like at a family wedding. For new music, head to the This Feeling new-talent stage, where Tom Grennan first played the festival before headlining the Big Top in 2026.
In front of the main stage, many set up a base camp of blankets, camping chairs and bunting. For families and groups of islanders it’s a living room, for anyone heading to the front an obstacle course; since 2026, new chair rules have kept the walkways clearer.

Check first
- Plan for long walks, from the car park through the campsite to the main stage, and pack a hat and sun protection, because there’s hardly any shade.
- There’s singing at night in the main fields; if you want to sleep, book a pitch in the quieter Respect field in advance.
Right for you
- For crews who want to sing along to yesterday’s big choruses at 20 and are happy to party next to parents and kids. If you want a weekend only among people your own age, you’re in the wrong place: the crowd is older and more family-oriented than at Reading.
