Glücksgefühle is partying on a grand scale: two festival days at the Hockenheimring, three stages, and chart names at the top such as David Guetta, Mark Forster or, in 2024, the Backstreet Boys. People come to hear the hits and party; even those who grumble about everything else praise the music.
Everything else comes down to the crowds: on Saturdays it gets so full that areas in front of the stages are closed off and many only see their bands from far away; guests queue half an hour or longer for food, beer and toilets. Many regulars feel it used to be better, and quite a few don't want to come back. The organiser wants no politics on its stage: that is why, in 2026, it initially disinvited Alphaville.

Check first
- If you only want one day, pick Friday: Saturday is considered the busiest day. You have to be 18 to get in, even with your parents along; your own food and drink stay outside.
- Between camp, car park and stages you'll often walk 30 to 45 minutes, and by car you'll be stuck in traffic on arrival and departure. From Hockenheim station it's about a 30-minute walk.
Right for you
- You want the big hits live, fairground rides in between and partying until 1 am, and crowds don't put you off. If you're looking for discoveries, shade or room to breathe, you won't be happy here.
