Garorock is the big summer festival of south-west France: late June or early July on the edge of Marmande, a ten-minute walk from the station and the town centre. The line-up is broad and loud: rap from PNL to Bigflo & Oli, electro from DJ Snake to David Guetta, rock from Muse to Green Day – too little guitar for old-school rock fans. Out front, a young crowd from the region sings along to every chorus; head to the small stage and you’ll often find a new favourite band.
The second festival is the campsite in the wooded park: its own stage until deep into the night, hammocks in the little wood, shouts of “Apéro” from tent to tent. Arrive late and there’s no shade left, and sometimes no space. And the weather has its say: in 2026, heat and storms left only the Friday of four festival days.

- Expect an hour or more at the entrance, often in blazing sun; storms have already cost concert days in 2014 and 2026. Payment is by Garocash only; umbrellas and folding chairs are banned in the Village and the concert area. Day tickets have no re-entry, and there’s no camping for under-14s.
Right for you
- You want rap, electro and big rock choruses in one weekend, like camping right in the thick of it and pack a gazebo and a paddling pool. If you’re after shade, quiet nights or pure rock, you’ll rarely be happy here.
