Ferik started in 2015 as a garden party thrown by nine friends; today, according to the organiser, almost 8,000 people party at Klutertbad over two days. The main stage puts on a show with a huge LED wall, the second stage plays techno. Even so, guests describe it as relaxed and close-knit, away from the bustle of the big festivals, and praise the organisation.
The name honours a late friend of the founders, and because a drunk driver killed a friend from their circle in 2016, “Don't Drink and Drive” is the most important rule here. You'll see it on every cup and on the screen, you can check yourselves at the breathalyser, and for the way home a free shuttle runs to the station.

Check first
- Entry is 18+, and the organiser doesn't mention camping: plan your way home by train and shuttle; in 2026 buses ran from Gevelsberg and Schwelm. Pack swimwear and sun protection, because there's hardly any shade in front of the main stage when it's hot.

- A fit if you want to dance to electronic music in summer, take a swim in between and prefer a manageable, relaxed crowd to a big festival. If you want to disappear in the crowd, you'll easily bump into people from next door here.
