Every festival evening, everyone gathers in front of the main stage for lasers and fireworks, and in 2026 the founder had the show halted until his crew could watch too.

Electrisize started in 2009 as a party among friends for 150 people and has grown to 55,000 without leaving its roots behind. The party takes place in front of an old monastery among fields near Erkelenz, guests call it one big village fête, and when piles of manure lay along the farm track in 2026, the festival apologised with a sign and left them where they were.
Musically it is a loud mixed bag: EDM on the main stage, hardstyle in the packed Hardsize, techno at Tapuya, Ballermann in the Turbo Beach Club and rock bands in Thunder. Since 2026 Ballermann has also played on the main stage, much to the annoyance of some EDM fans; at camp, one themed camp celebrates Christmas in August.

Check first
- Comfort costs extra: the Priority Pass includes flush toilets, a fast entry lane and the shuttle; the VIP ticket also comes with its own flush toilets. Since 2026 the shuttle has been chargeable, and in 2026 free water was available at only one spot. Friday and Saturday are 18+; on Sunday, 16- and 17-year-olds can get in without their parents.
