Down The Rabbit Hole is the festival for crews who want more than just standing in front of stages. The line-up has big names, in 2026 for example David Byrne and Florence + The Machine, but for many the day starts with a morning rave. After that it’s off to a samba workshop, pottery or quirky queer shows, theatre runs in the woods until past midnight, and anyone who still has the energy dances until 4:30 am.

The site stretches from the lake into the woods, and in between you lie in the grass on the hill in front of the main stage. Rabbit ears are part of the look, and strangers spontaneously form line-dance rows in front of the stage.

• If you want to listen, get to the front: further back there’s a lot of talking, and smaller tents get overcrowded quickly for popular bands.
• Arrive on Thursday if you want to camp in the woods, and plan the last night: in 2026 the Sunday shuttle was only advertised until 12:30 am, while people danced until 4:30 am.
