Defqon.1 is the big gathering of the hard styles: ten or more stages, each with its own colour and its own style, from Old School on MAGENTA to Uptempo on YELLOW. What sets it apart from other raves is a running order like a church service: the Gathering to open, the Power Hour, when the whole main stage jumps from left to right, and fireworks under which tens of thousands look up in silence and put their arms around each other.
More than half travel in from abroad, from as far as Chile and Australia, and many come back year after year as if coming home. The camp keeps going: Uptempo from speakers until morning, children's songs as Uptempo remixes for a wake-up call, and if you pitch your tent next to a group, you'll be sitting at their table after the first beer.

Check first
- There is hardly any shade on the open field: in 2026 heat ended the festival after the first evening, and back in 2019 the first-aid tent was full. Arrive early and bring a festival trolley, otherwise you'll be hauling your luggage over gravel to the furthest camp, and pack good earplugs.
Right for you
- You want to jump and sing along rather than tick off sets, and a loud camp is part of it for you. Even on your own, you'll quickly find people through the tent next door, the bus or Discord.
