At Easter, Dark Easter Metal Meeting takes over Munich's Backstage: Werk, Halle and Club are a few steps apart, with a beer garden and a green courtyard in between. The timing is strict: a band plays alone in Werk, then Halle and Club run at the same time, with five to ten minutes' break and punctual starts. The sound is rated strong on all three stages, and really heavy in Werk.
It gets tight as soon as Werk takes a break: then everyone heads for Halle and Club, and there's often room for only some of them. If you want to see your band there, go in early; visitors suggest 10 to 15 minutes ahead. In Werk there's almost always room. The crowd stays loyal anyway: many come back every Easter, and the hotel bar round the corner is full of metalheads.

- For overnight stays the organiser points to hotels and hostels: book one within walking distance or along the S-Bahn to Hirschgarten, as parking is scarce. Children under six aren't admitted, and shirts of bands from the far-right scene aren't allowed in.
