What began as a club night in Liverpool became a rave on farmland, where old-school ravers and eighteen-year-olds sing along to the same anthems.

Creamfields grew out of the Liverpool club Cream and is a reunion for many DJs: quite a few from 1998 are still on the bill, alongside the biggest names from house to trance. The stars carry the weekend, but people who know Creamfields send newcomers into the tents, such as the Teletech tent with its hard techno.
The crowd comes in its thousands from Liverpool and Manchester, many in their mid-twenties, with ravers from the early years among them. In the camp you pitch up tent to tent with strangers, and in the morning you are surrounded by hundreds of people who haven’t slept either. The ground is flat farmland that turns into a sea of mud when it rains; regulars pull on their wellies and keep dancing.

Check first
- Plan your way home in advance: in 2026 guests waited hours for shuttles and taxis after closing or were stuck in the car park; it’s best to book the official shuttle ahead. If you leave the site, you can’t get back in on the same ticket.
- In 2026 it got dangerously packed before popular sets, with pushing and hardly any stewards at the entrances; if you get there early, you’ll stand more comfortably.
