Atlantic Fest is indie on the beach, right in town: the stages stand on Praia da Concha, between the sea and the centre of Vilagarcía. 2026 was the tenth edition, with Franz Ferdinand, Two Door Cinema Club and Spanish indie from Los Planetas to Carolina Durante. Saturday runs from two in the afternoon until past one, building from concerts in the blazing sun to a dance floor in the sand; on Sunday the festival moves to Praza do Castro at vermouth time.

The crowd is older on average than at other big festivals and ranges from teenagers to regulars who think Los Planetas should play every year. Every age group sings along just as loudly, there’s a mosh pit for Shame without anyone getting hurt, and there are no endless queues.

  • Pack for both: in 2025 Los Planetas played in non-stop rain and Sunday moved into the Auditorio; in 2026 many crowded into the narrow shade in front of the stage. Tents go up at Camping Río Ulla, about two and a half kilometres away, paid extra per day and linked by a free bus.
