Aquasella is techno in a valley: founded in 1997, the festival takes place on a meadow between Arriondas and Cangas de Onís, surrounded by Asturian mountains. The programme takes in the open-air stage, the hot, packed Carpa La Real tent and the Bosque at the edge of the woods; at night the music runs until morning. On Sunday the after-party in the Bosque goes on for almost nine hours without a break, packed to the rafters.
The crowd is young and getting younger, with people who have been coming back for more than twenty years dancing among them. The camp has a neighbourly feel, and when it poured down on the Saturday in 2024, many simply kept dancing outside.

Check first
- Bring shade: on hot days guests report 37 to 40 °C, the tents heat up and the sun sails in the camp barely help. Arrive when it opens and you get the pick of the spots.
- Agree on meeting points before you arrive: in 2026 guests could barely get a mobile signal on the site or in town. Police check with dogs in the camp too; in 2026 there were more than 700 reports for drug offences.
Right for you
- You want techno and not much else, don't need much sleep and like it when newcomers and old hands share the same dance floor. If you need quiet in your tent at night, this isn't the place for you.
